The-Lost-Art.com's Official Breakspoll 2012–13 Nominations

There is a moment in the life of any platform when the outside world stops being something you watch and starts being something you participate in. For The-Lost-Art.com, that moment came when DJ Natural Nate® sat down and submitted the platform's official nominations to Breakspoll — the annual global poll of the breakbeat community, run by the people who built the genre.

This was not a casual gesture. Breakspoll nominations are a statement of record. They say: these DJs are real, these shows are real, this label is real, this platform is real — and we are putting our name behind all of it.

The nominations below were submitted directly to Jimmy at Breakspoll for the 2012–13 cycle. They cover fourteen categories. They name more than thirty individuals and projects — every single one operating under the banner of www.The-Lost-Art.com.

This document is preserved here as a permanent part of the historical record.

Off the Side — Additional Nominations & Notes

From the original submission, in DJ Natural Nate®'s own words:

Lo IQ? / Mark IvanFacebook

"He's a great guy and has a fan base from Hell. He's a GREAT producer and has his hands in many events."

Satellite Label — New Chart for Electro Breaks

A new chart for Electro Breaks for Breakspoll 2013–2014 was proposed via Satellite EDM.

"You asked for a place willing to do charts and sales to pure Electro Breaks and funk. We found them. This will be where the short list comes from for you guys next year. That way it is completely fair to everyone. That's really important to me."

This was not just a nomination list. It was a roadmap — DJ Natural Nate® identifying the infrastructure that would make future Breakspoll cycles fairer, more transparent, and more representative of the actual community doing the work.

The Timeline — Where This Fits

To understand what these nominations meant, you have to understand where The-Lost-Art.com was standing when they were submitted.

2009 — The platform launches. Live video broadcasting is mandatory from day one. No other internet radio station in the world is doing this.

2011 — HubSpot grades the site 99 out of 100. Alexa ranks it in the top 3.22% of all websites on earth. DJ Natural Nate® writes his private letter to the team: "We are close to history right now."

2012–13 — These nominations are submitted. Fourteen categories. Thirty-plus nominees. Every one of them a real DJ, a real show, a real label, a real track — all documented, all live, all under one roof.

2013 — April traffic data shows 18,615 unique visitors in a single month. 780,780 total hits. Day after day after day of sustained, loyal, returning audience.

2026 — The platform is still here. The nominations are still on record. The history is still documented.

The Closing Statement

These nominations were not submitted by a label with a marketing budget. They were not submitted by a management company with industry connections. They were submitted by one man — DJ Natural Nate® — who built a platform from nothing, documented everything, and then walked into the global conversation about DJ culture and said: here are the people who deserve to be recognized.

Every name on this list was real. Every show was real. Every track was real. Every label was real.

That is what The-Lost-Art.com has always been. Not a platform that claims to represent real DJ culture. A platform that proves it — nomination by nomination, show by show, mix by mix, year by year.

The receipts are here. They have always been here.

We Are the Light: DJ Natural Nate®'s Private Letter to the TLA Team — November 28, 2011

On November 28, 2011, DJ Natural Nate® wrote a rare, unfiltered personal message to the entire The-Lost-Art.com team. It was not a press release. It was not a marketing statement. It was a man pouring his soul onto the page — telling his people exactly who he was, where he came from, why he built this, and why he believed they were all standing on the edge of history together.
