James Wolfe. The Man Behind Frajile and the Electro revolution.

James Wolfe started collecting vinyl in the summer 1991 at the age of 12 and began DJing house parties during his high school years. Around 1993 he started collecting more underground records and shopping at the DJ Store (WPB) and Y&T (MIA). He was offered a job @ the DJ Store in 1995 and took the position @ the age of 15. Shortly after that, the Florida DJ Party scene really started to take off and James was fortunate enough to play at some of the most sought after events, including his first big Rave event called “RAPTURE” in 1995 @ the West Palm Beach Fairgrounds. James played up and down the east coast heavily from 1996 – 2000 including every ‘ZEN’ event minus the 1st one. He also played @ Ultra Music Festival, Future Sound of Breaks and various other large events @ the WMC from 1998-2011. Around late 1997 James decided it was time to hit the studio and make his own music and start a Record Label so David Noller aka Scratch-D took James under his wing and gave him the chance he had been looking for In 1999 James released his first record: “Techtonic Plates EP” W&P by James Wolfe and David Noller released on his ownImprint “Frajile Recordings Inc“. A year previous to this James had moved from The DJ Store over to ‘Dancetarium’ to work as the Assistant Record Buyer/Light and Sound Room Technician.

As soon as the first Frajile Recordings record was born, James started buying studio gear and producing with his partner at the time named Exzakt. James and Exzakt created the group named ‘Resident Alien’. They released their first record in 2000 which would be the 2nd Frajile Recordings release named ‘The Florida Electro Artists EP Vol. 1’ with a track from Scratch-D vs. Oz and DJ Uprock. The 3rd release was Resident Alien ‘Radio Killer’. The 4th was Resident Alien ‘Machine vs. Man’. The Fifth was Exzakt’s first solo record ‘Music Is The Drug’ and the sixth was ‘Florida Electro Artists EP vol. 2′ with an exclusive Jackal & Hyde remix of ’20 Thousand Freaks’ and Resident Alien’s ‘Movement Through Thought’. The 7th and final vinyl release was titled Brice Kelly ‘The Unmanned March E.P.’
