The tonearm to your Technics turntable is like a triple beam balance. First, you get the weight balancing the tonearm with the need hovering horizontal to the platter. Then you turn the dial to “0” – calibrating the tonearm (tonearm should still float horizontal to the platter) – then, depending the weight of the needle… you adjust accordingly. In this case (Shure Whitelabel) it was weighted at 3.5 grams.
